Why SpeedBX
Most luxury carts on the market are a standard chassis with a body kit. SpeedBX is engineered around the lithium pack and the controller, which is why it accelerates and holds speed the way it does. Our technicians work with the SpeedBX controller and battery management system directly, so service and tuning are done in-house in Delray Beach rather than shipped out.
Street-legal golf carts vs. LSVs in Florida
Florida treats a golf cart and a Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) very differently. A golf cart tops out under 20 mph, has no VIN, and can only be driven on roads a city or county has specifically opened to golf carts. An LSV is a federally classified motor vehicle with a top speed of 20–25 mph: it carries a 17-digit VIN, is titled and registered with the Florida DMV, carries PIP and property-damage insurance, and can be driven on any public road posted 35 mph or less.
Every new electric cart we sell is built as an LSV with the required equipment — headlights, tail and brake lights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts, windshield, parking brake, and reflectors. Each one comes with a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin so it can be titled and registered as an LSV in Florida.

Frequently asked questions
- How far does a SpeedBX go on a charge?
- The 76.8V 150Ah pack is rated for up to 50 miles per charge. Real-world range depends on speed, passengers, and terrain.
- Is the SpeedBX street legal?
- Yes. The S4 and S6 are sold as Low-Speed Vehicles with a VIN and all required equipment. We title and register the cart for Florida roads posted 35 mph or less.
- Can I charge a SpeedBX at a public EV charger?
- With our J1772 Level 2 charging retrofit, yes — the cart can plug into the same Level 2 stations used by electric cars, and into a home EV charger.
- What is the SpeedBX warranty?
- A manufacturer's warranty is included with every new SpeedBX; ask us for the current terms on the battery, motor, and controller.
